SAP Cloud for Customer

SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) is the fourth largest software company in the world.  SAP was initially dedicated and focused on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The success of ERP system led to the creation of more software like Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Process Integration (PI). All these products offered tight integration with their core SAP ECC (ERP Central Component) software. Apart from SAP CRM and SAP SRM, SAP also developed Business Suites like SAP SCM and SAP APO which offered many applications along with the ERP SAP to satisfy the needs of the customers. This article focuses on SAP CRM and describes the Reporting and Analytics feature of SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C).
Our Focal Point
SAP’s Cloud for Customer (C4C) is a customer solution software which offers inbuilt integration to SAP CRM, ECC, and other third-party applications. According to SAP, it is comparatively more complete, robust and mature compared to its predecessors since it provides prepackaged integrations to SAP ERP and SAP CRM, mobile interfaces and other robust social features. SAP C4C is designed to enhance sales (SAP Cloud for Sales), provide better customer services (SAP Cloud for Services) and effectively make use of social media (SAP Cloud for Social Engagement). In other words, SAP C4C offers engaging, connected, insightful, and cost effective tools to increase your business sales. The insightful design principle covers the Analytics and Reporting feature of the SAP C4C solution. This aspect deals with the provision of accurate information and analyses that lets you focus on more relevant points and thus leverage your performance.
Analytics
Analytics component of the SAP C4C allows business users to identify and communicate meaningful patterns emerging from interpretation of data. SAP’s Analytics products enable to use business data to describe, forecast, and improve business efficiency, recommend suitable action and guide the decision making process. Analytics Products by SAP include SAP Business Objects Analysis and SAP Predictive Analytics among many others.
Reporting
The C4C analytics offers suitable set of reports and dashboards for daily business use. Reporting is not strictly distinct from the analytics component. It is often seen as a part of analytics. However, analytics and reporting are closely connected and work together to give desirable results in your business sales. It is sometimes more helpful to view Reporting and Analytics as a single integrated component. SAP Analytics products for reporting include SAP Crystal Reports and SAP Business Objects Dashboards.
Analysis
SAP Business Objects Analysis edition for Microsoft Office enables you to get insights from business data and thereby help you arrive at smart decisions that can enhance your business performance. Analysis edition for MS Office integrates with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. It consists of two parts: Analysis Plug-in and EPM Plug-in.
Intelligence Platform
SAP Business Objects BI platform ensures the provision of flexible systems management for your business. It allows the administrators to easily employ and regulate their BI implementations on a well- established, scalable, and adaptive service-oriented architecture.
Dashboards
SAP Business Objects Dashboards is a data visualization software that helps an enterprise in creating and exporting interactive dashboards which contain many components like charts, graphs and buttons bound to data sources.  These display components present data compactly and thereby enable the users to see trends and help in decision making process.
Explorer
SAP Business Objects Explorer is a data discovery application that lets you retrieve answers to your questions concerned with business from corporate data. The retrieval process is quick and direct. Needed data can be retrieved by searching within consistent and meaningful datasets called Information Spaces. You can filter the search results and explore the Information Spaces to find the answers you need. It is also possible to view only desirable data through advanced visualizations and charts. Explorer has the capability to perform visual analysis for you so that you get the information you are searching for quickly and in the preferable format.
Predictive Analytics
SAP Predictive Analytics is a statistical analysis and data mining software that lets you create analytical models to determine inconspicuous insights and relationships related to business data, so that you are able to make calculations about upcoming events and trends. SAP Predictive Analytics combines SAP Infinite Insight (Automated Analytics) and SAP Predictive Analysis (Expert Analytics) into a single package.
Crystal Reports
SAP Crystal Reports enables you to design, explore, view, and deliver reports through the web or embedded in your business applications. It is streamlined to use almost any data source to let you create the report you need. Reports can range from simple ones to complex or specialized reports.
Lumira
SAP Lumira is a self-service solution that lets you access, convert, and visualize data for easy analysis and decision making. It enables analysts to compile data from multiple sources and visualize it and then produce stories that can be communicated with decision makers. Lumira along with the cloud offers browser and mobile based experiences to analyze data further and collaborate with others on datasets, stories and other business intelligence aspects.
Overall Benefits
The following are the advantages of SAP C4C Reporting and Analytics:

  • Track changes in real-time sales performance
  • Capture sales cycles, win/loss revenue and competitive trends
  • Review forecasts and create with ease configurable reports as per need
  • Identify key aspects and relevant things to focus upon
  • Interpret data at a deeper level
  • Gain profound insights through integrated access to analyses
