Development Methodology

Different Stages of Implementation


In accordance with the implementation strategy as a whole, the implementation process is divided into five stages:

During this stage, the implementation crew outlines the scope and constraints of the concerned project in its minutest details, creates the metrics to evaluate the developments, and establishes the reporting and communication process. The deliverables of this stage comprise of a general framework of the overall implementation schedule as well as basic project mileposts.

This is an evolutionary phase where we build the main core of the system design by combining prototype demo and design documents. This environment is set as the method by which the business needs are met and the design stipulations are well-established and assembled in the system. The info congregated in this stage is used in developing a downright system. During this stage, the team conducts selected demo of the solution where they offer a demonstration of the basic product features.  

As per the business needs and fixtures, our consultants start designing the solution by giving due consideration for the operational aspect as well. The solution thus designed would cover all the gaps which are identified and would evaluate the required process changes/developments as well.  Accordingly, the team carries out the necessary developments and moves ahead based on client approval.

Proceeding to the next step, the team develops the solution based on the technical specifications, along with subsequent project management appraisals. During the development phase, organizational updates, training activities, and procedures are incorporated and fine-tuned. Further, the system set-up is carried out and data conversion needs are designed and developed in this stage.    

All the aforementioned stages are intended to make sure that you have a stable and complete system which is ready to move onto the production phase. Once the final design and development of the system elements has been concluded and sanctioned, the system is subjected to unit testing as well as integration (cross-enterprise) testing for the sake of end-to-end integration. This is followed by production environment regulation and necessary data conversion.

The courses designed for user training are set-up and conducted according to the training calendar as well as the sequence of application rollouts. It is at this stage that the user acceptance is carried out.

1. Fixed Price Model

This model is appropriate for those projects which have well-defined schedules and requirements. When you provide the complete details of your requirements, we estimate the complexity and scope of the project and offer a delivery schedule along with a fixed price for the entire project development. Under this model, we ensure that the final product is delivered with good quality within the pre-scheduled timeframe, for which the customer pays a mutually-agreed fixed price.

The main advantage of this model is allowing the customer to agree upon the project budget much in advance. However, as compared to Time & Materials model, this model does not allow making changes and incorporating additional features. Any new updates in the features or other requirements call for the re-negotiation of the price as well as delivery schedule.

2. Time & Materials Model

When the project specifications, implementation plans, and scope cannot be defined specifically during the initial stages of the project or if there is an instance in which there is a variation in the requirements during the implementation stage, this model offers the necessary flexibility to regulate the workloads and the size of the development team allocated to the project, at the same time optimizing the costs and time.

Under this model, Suyati provides the skilled resources, and all the development efforts are billed at the end of each month according to the mutually-agreed and pre-negotiated hourly rate. Henceforth, the total cost of the project is calculated by the total time spent and the resources utilized. The primary advantage while employing this model is that it offers greater flexibility to make specification amendments, includes unplanned activities within no time, and adjusts the project resources as per the evolving requirements all through the project development cycle. We also offer you the flexibility to changeover to the Fixed Price model, as soon as you have a clear-cut project scope and your requirements are concrete.
